If your vehicle does not have an easily accessible OBD2 port, or if the port is located in a hard-to-reach area, you can still use the sunshade with our alternative power solution. The unit is also compatible with a 12V–16V cigarette lighter power connection by using the appropriate adapter cable.
The OBD2 connector itself is standardized, but in some vehicles the port may be hidden, covered, recessed, or positioned differently depending on the model and year. If needed, please check your vehicle manual or contact us with your vehicle model and year, and we will help confirm the best connection method.
Is it safe for my vehicle’s electrical system?
Yes. The unit is designed to operate within12V–16V vehicle electrical systemsand is used only as a power source for the motorized sunshade.
